Tech Week

Various Dates

Techweek is a week-long technology conference for entrepreneurs, tech startups, and thought leaders to share ideas and industry news. What started in Chicago as an expo to showcase and support Chicago’s emerging tech ecosystem has grown into a national tech and entrepreneur conference that draws an attractive demographic of millennials, startups, and corporate representatives. Now traveling all around the country, Techweek offers a Summit of keynotes and speakers, a startup competition called Launch, an Entrepreneur Expo, a CEO/Startup Exclusive gathering titled the Founder’s House, and much much more to those in the tech industries.

While many of the Techweek 2016 Expo dates have come and gone, there are upcoming 2016 dates in Kansas City, New York, Dallas, Los Angeles, and Miami. Techweek also makes many of its past keynotes and speakers available for web listening on its homepage, so you can sample a few talks and get a feel for what to expect before you attend. SXSW

March 10-19, 2017

Almost everyone has at least heard of SXSW in Austin, Texas, a creative-based conference specifically aimed at “celebrating the convergence of the interactive, film, and music industries.” Entrepreneurs and startups in any industry related to interactive development, media, film, and music would benefit greatly from all that SXSW has to offer. One of the most popular conferences in the country, SXSW is known for being a something-for-everyone kind of event. Adweek writes:“if you work in marketing or have anything to do with it, the real reason to go is that SXSW is that it’s an eye-opening metaphor for the cluttered media landscape that marketers have to deal with in today’s world. It is a master class in attention scarcity.”

Since SXSW is such a popular (i.e. huge) conference, many studies have been done in the effort to prove the ROI of attendance. It’s been found that the “Intent to network and buy” is consistently higher at SXSW than at other comparable conferences and events. Internal polling both before and after events at SXSW revealed that attendees were 46 percent more likely to be seriously seeking new vendors or partners. Interested? Check out tickets here.
